Emil Zatopek
The book "Running" by Jean Echenoz is a short biography (140 pp.) Emil Zatopek. From my point of view the book is rather short on races, feats, train and marks the best distance runner of his time, going on to win 3 golds in the same Olympics (5000m, Marathon 10.000my Helsinki'52) .
Although the book refers to the political situation Emil lived, problems with the government to compete and the propaganda that was made through him, does not elaborate on the athletic aspects "human locomotive", so if you are looking for a biography of the athlete is not the best book, although I have written a famous writer Jean Echanoz (I did not know him, so it was not as famous or I an uncultured) and critical talk about his writing and thinking about Zatopek, I do not over fill the book, perhaps because he wanted something more on the athlete and person and not so much about the time lived and political problems.
Anyway, it does not hurt to read a book once in a while .... not all going to be comics and sports magazines ... jejeje
